Practical guide

A room-by-room move-out cleaning checklist.

A practical South guide · Local edition

“Move-out cleaning” can mean different work to different companies. Before hiring in Miami, turn that description into a specific list. You will know what the price covers and what to arrange separately.

Areas to list

Describe kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, closets and floors. Say whether the property will be empty. Add interior windows, baseboards and surfaces you want to review afterward.

Confirm oven, refrigerator and cabinet interiors separately. Explain whether you need carpets cleaned or specific stains treated. The quote should distinguish included tasks from optional extras.

Work that needs a separate assessment

Moving heavy appliances, removing furniture, repairs or work at height needs specific coordination. Explain moisture or damaged materials before confirming routine cleaning.

Questions for comparing proposals

Ask who supplies products, how scope changes are handled and what final review will take place. Send the same list to each provider under consideration.

Common question

Is the area behind the refrigerator cleaned? Only when access, who moves it and the method have been agreed.
